SIE IP Research Recap

Since the process is getting a bit confusing for me, I’m just going to quickly recap what has occurred until now so I can figure out what to work on next.

SIE IP’s part 1
The initial post. Games I could confirm easily were Panekit, Addie’s Present, Aconcagua and Shachou Eiyuuden. Series that SIE have worked on, but are developed by other SIE WWS include Everybody’s games (by Clap Hanz), the Eyetoy series (by SIE London), the Ape Escape series (by SIEJ) and Motor Toon Grand Prix (by Polyphony).

These games don’t really have be looked at again. From a later post I can also add:

Toro’s series (via Toro’s Friend Network)

I then surmised that Phase Paradox and Surveillance Kanshisha were probably likely (maybe not 100%, but close to 80% at least).

The rest of the games weren’t as likely. As far as games that I believed were either co-developed, or published (with IP owned) by SIE were:
Beat Planet Music with Opus Corp
Okage: Shadow King with Zener Works

And with the latest post I believe we can also add:

Philosoma with G-Artists

Under either SIE or Sugar & Rockets. Then there were the remaining games to verify.

Charge! Tank Squad, Hand Dic(tionary), Homerun Hitters, TVDJ, Sagashi no Ikouyo
Lifeline, Finny Fish & the Seven Waters, Flipnic: Ultimate Pinball, Talkman Travel, Monster Radar, P-Kara, Shiki-Tei, Legend of Kunoichi

Extra games/series to add are:

Hermie Hopperhead: Scrap Panic” and “Gekisou TomaRunner

The former has several pages on several sites saying that SIE or Sugar & Rockets were involved. I don’t know how true that is, though Contrail, a production company that also helped with games like Wild Arms 2, OreShika and Boku no Natsuyasumi, is noted as being involved with the puzzle spinoff to Hermie known as “Tamago de Puzzle”. The latter is the first game to Gekitotsu Toma L’Arc (which was also listed under SIE) so that will need to be looked into as well.

Finally we started to delve into the studio Sugar & Rockets. From there we had:

The Yarudora series, Pet in TV, Covert Ops: Nuclear Dawn and Jumping Flash

We also saw that Intelligent Qube and Philosoma were relevant. Since that post, I’ve decided to list Intelligent Qube and Philosoma under SIE while keeping Jumping Flash to Sugar & Rockets. The main reason is that IQ and Philosoma have had related games by SIE (IQ Mania and Phase Paradox respectively) while Jumping Flash hasn’t seen anything new since S&R were reintegrated into SIE.

Before moving on to Arc Entertainment and Contrail, the plan is to finish looking into the following series:

Charge! Tank Squad, Hand Dic(tionary), Homerun Hitters, TVDJ, Sagashi no Ikouyo
Lifeline, Finny Fish & the Seven Waters, Flipnic: Ultimate Pinball, Talkman Travel, Monster Radar, P-Kara, Shiki-Tei, Legend of Kunoichi
Hermie Hopperhead: Scrap Panic and Tamago de Puzzle
Gekisou TomaRunner and Gekitotsu Toma L’Arc
